Dentistry is a branch of biomedical science concerned with the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment of diseases of the teeth, gums, and other structures of the mouth. It includes the repair or replacement of defective teeth. Dentists are professionals qualified to practice dentistry. Other people aiding in oral health are dental assistants, dental hygienists, dental technicians and dental therapists.
